Come to The Wild Center for a week of winter exploring.  The Wild Center will be open all week from February 14th-February 23rd with winter programming.

Winter Activities

We’re celebrating the season with all new indoor and outdoor activities.

  • Winter Wild Walk

Winter Wild Walk is the ultimate winter wonderland. Get stunning views of the ice-capped Adirondack mountains, experience good old-fashioned fun in the snow (including snowball throwing range!), and capture the magic of the season with new wintry selfie stations. Winter Wild Walk is open 11am-3pm.

  • Live Animal Encounters

Our Daily Animal Encounters in the Big Wolf Great Hall bring you up close and personal with snakes, turtles, blue jays, owls and porcupines. Check the daily schedule to see who is being featured. See the otters dive and swirl during the daily Otter Encounters at Otter Falls. Ask our Naturalist about their activities and behaviors.

  • Free Snowshoe Rentals

Explore the 115-acre campus on your own or on one of our guided Naturalist walks.  Journey along the self-guided trail to reach the Oxbow on the Raquette River.
