Welcome to the Adirondack Youth Climate Summit 2024!

November 7 - 8, 2024

The Summit

Over 100 high school students from various schools and community groups across Northern New York State will be in attendance! We combine informative plenary sessions and workshops in a fun atmosphere for a powerful 2-day educational experience. At the Summit, students will develop a climate action plan that they can use to implement climate solutions in their own community. Young people will leave ready to accelerate change in their lives, schools and communities.

FAQs

How many students can be in my group?
You may have six people in your school group, including teachers and chaperones. 
How many workshops can I attend?
There will be 15 workshops to choose from, with five concurrent sessions.
Who is the keynote speaker?
Jerome Foster II is the keynote speaker for the event. Learn more about his work below.
When do I need to register by?
Registration closes on October 10 or when filled - register early to ensure your spot!

Keynote Speaker: Jerome Foster II

Jerome Foster II is an environmental justice activist, social entrepreneur, and renowned public speaker. Jerome is one of the major organizers of the Fridays for Future and has been a leading voice for Black visibility in climate activism. In March of 2021, Jerome made history becoming the youngest-ever White House Advisor, as he was appointed to the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council following 80 weeks of holding weekly climate strikes in front of the White House and leading the OneMillionOfUs initiative registering one million young people to vote. He is the co-founder and Executive Director of Waic Up, a climate justice advocacy non-profit organization using art, journalism, and civic engagement to impact change.
