New York Flora Association is offering this program in partnership with the Wild Center. Join botanist Dan Spada for this excursion to identify 10 native tree species in the field. Instruction will be provided on the use of keys and guides to be able to identify trees and other plants. This program includes a short lab inside to introduce the program and some terminology. Most of our time will be spent outside on our trails and in the woods. This is a great opportunity to learn plant identification in the field and to get familiar with the keys and other tools used to identify trees. Participants will also create their own identification keys using specimens or field sketches.
Space is limited to 15 participants so please register soon.
Cost: Free for members or with paid admission. Pre-registration required.
