When we tell stories about the environments we call home and that sustain us, human beings are often at the center. That is why we are asking the question: What would the Raquette River say if they could tell their own story? In an interactive workshop, the environmental storytelling duo Blake Lavia and Tzintzun Aguilar-Izzo, from Talking Wings, will guide the participants in journey of listening, learning/unlearning, and co-creating. Together they will walk to the Raquette River, and delve into how to tell a story that puts the Rivers voice, rights and responsibilities front and center.
