Week 2: Nature Journaling and Citizen Science
Nature journaling is a great way to start your career as a Jr. Naturalist. It helps you practice observing the environment around you.
Head outside to have some fun combining art and science. With so much technology at our fingertips, it’s so easy to become a citizen scientist right at home simply by observing the world around you. Try using iNaturalist to zoom in to identify a tiny insect crawling on a leaf, or use Globe Observer to zoom out and watch the clouds soar above you.
To help you get started:
Learn about the basics of Nature Journaling with Leanne and Wilson the snail!
Learn how to be a citizen scientist using iNaturalist with Erin.
Then go to 9:00 to see the app in action!
And using Globe Observer with Derek!
