DESCRIPTION:Trolls\, Landscapes\, and the Nearly Full Moon Photography Tour
  with Carl Heilman II\nOctober 24\, 2026\, from 3- 11 pm\nJoin Adirondack 
 photographer Carl Heilman II for an afternoon and evening\, photographing 
 late fall landscapes in the golden hour and sunset light\, and then photog
 raphing Thomas Dambo’s Trolls under the moon light. Viewing the trolls i
 n daylight is quite special\, but photographing them under the moonlight\,
  highlighted with artificial light is a unique experience. Bring along a h
 eadlamp (or two or more)\, and a good sturdy tripod. The moon rises at 4:5
 5 PM\, an hour before the 5:56 PM sunset\, so there should be a good varie
 ty of afternoon landscape photo ops in addition to the moonlit trails for 
 accessing and photographing the trolls through the evening hours.\n\nPhoto
 grapher\, Carl Heilman II\, has been photographing the Adirondacks since t
 he mid 1970's and has been working with digital images since 1997. He has 
 led photo workshops since the early 1990's and has been presenting photogr
 aphy workshops in Brant Lake since 1997 through Wild Visions\, Inc. His co
 ffee table books on the Adirondacks\, Lake George\, New York State\, and M
 aine have been published by Rizzoli\, Voyageur Press\, and North Country B
 ooks. His AV programs have aired on regional PBS stations\, and he was int
 erviewed for the May 2008 national PBS special\, 'The Adirondacks'. He has
  written three ‘how-to’ photography techniques books in addition to\, 
 ‘Photographing the Adirondacks’\, a regional guidebook to more than 20
 0 photo locations throughout the Adirondack Park.\n\nCarl brings over 50 y
 ears of photo experience and enthusiasm for the many different aspects of 
 photography to each workshop. A maximum of 12 participants allows plenty o
 f opportunities for individual interaction throughout the day.\n\nThe work
 shop fee includes all instruction and any handouts - but does not include 
 lodging or additional meals. Please bring along whatever you would like fo
 r food and drink through the day. The workshop begins in the conference ro
 om at The Wild Center. We will carpool as needed to photo locations.\n\nCo
