DESCRIPTION:\nPaddle the Oxbow: Guided Canoe and Kayak Trips\nJuly 1 to Aug
 ust 26\, 2026\, from 1 to 3 pm\nNote: trips are not available for advanced
  registration on August 1st\, 2nd\, 6th 8th\, 9th\nSpend a relaxing aftern
 oon on the Raquette River with a NYS Licensed Guide and Wild Center Natura
 list. After a brief safety and paddling overview\, we’ll embark on an in
 terpretive paddle around the Oxbow\, a unique river formation found around
  the world. Along the way\, you'll catch glimpses of native wildlife and l
 earn about the natural and cultural history of the Adirondacks.\nGuided ca
 noe and kayak trips are offered July 1 to August 26\, beginning at 1 pm at
  our Boat Docks\, located 1/3 mile from the parking lot over rolling terra
 in. Please plan to arrive at The Wild Center by 12 pm to accommodate check
 -in and allow enough time to walk to the river.\nThis trip is designed for
  all paddling skill levels. Children must be at least 5 years old to parti
 cipate. Each canoe can accommodate up to 3 adults\, or 2 adults and up to 
 2 children (ages 5–12).\nCanoe (per boat):\n\n\n 	Members: $40\n 	Non-me
 mbers: $50\n\nKayak (per boat):\n\n\n 	Members: $20\n 	Non-members: $30\n\
 nCapacity: 4 canoes and 5 kayaks available per tripNote: Wild Center admis
 sion is required to participate and must be purchased separately. You can
