DESCRIPTION:\nPaddle the Oxbow: Guided Canoe Trip\nJuly 1–30 &amp\; Augus
 t 10 to September 7\, 2026\nSpend a relaxing afternoon on the Raquette Riv
 er with a NYS Licensed Guide and Wild Center Naturalist. After a brief saf
 ety and paddling overview\, we’ll embark on an interpretive paddle aroun
 d the Oxbow\, a unique river formation found around the world. Along the w
 ay\, you'll catch glimpses of native wildlife and learn about the natural 
 and cultural history of the Adirondacks.\nGuided canoe trips are offered J
 uly 1 to July 30 and August 10 to September 7\, beginning at 1 pm at our C
 anoe Docks\, located 1/3 mile from the parking lot over rolling terrain. P
 lease plan to arrive at The Wild Center by 12 pm to accommodate check-in a
 nd allow enough time to walk to the river.\nThis trip is designed for all 
 paddling skill levels. Children must be at least 5 years old to participat
 e. Each canoe can accommodate up to 3 adults\, or 2 adults and up to 2 chi
 ldren (ages 5–12).\nPricing (per canoe):\n\n\n 	Members: $30 per boat\n 
 	Non-members: $45 per boat\n\nCapacity: 5 canoes available per tripNote: W
 ild Center admission is required to participate and must be purchased sepa
 rately. You can purchase admission online here.\nPlease determine the numb
 er of canoes your group needs and register in advance. Space is limited.\n
