SUMMARY:Afternoon Landscapes and Night Skies Photography Tour with Carl Hei
 lman II
DESCRIPTION:\nAfternoon Landscapes and Night Skies Photography Tour with Ca
rl Heilman II\nAugust 8\, 2026\nAugust is a wonderful time in the Adironda
cks. Summer breezes ripple the surface of the beautiful lakes and ponds\,
and puffy clouds decorate the sky. Since most of\nsummer’s humid days ar
e in the past\, sunsets can be quite dramatic\, and nights can be clear an
d crisp with lots of stars and maybe a few meteors. We might photograph al
ong some of the The Wild Center trails\, but we’ll most likely travel to
various photo destinations within a half hour or so of The Wild Center.\n
\nPhotographer\, Carl Heilman II\, has been photographing the Adirondacks
since the mid 1970's and has been working with digital images since 1997.
He has led photo workshops since the early 1990's and has been presenting
photography workshops in Brant Lake since 1997 through Wild Visions\, Inc.
His coffee table books on the Adirondacks\, Lake George\, New York State\
, and Maine have been published by Rizzoli\, Voyageur Press\, and North Co
untry Books. His AV programs have aired on regional PBS stations\, and he
was interviewed for the May 2008 national PBS special\, 'The Adirondacks'.
His photo techniques book\, ‘The Landscape Photography Field Guide’\,
is a comprehensive handbook about landscape photography techniques. ‘10
1 Top Tips for Digital Landscape Photography’ is published by Ilex Press
\, and ‘Photographing the Adirondacks’ is a regional guidebook to more
than 200 photo locations throughout the Adirondack Park.\n\nCarl brings o
ver 40 years of photo experience and enthusiasm for many different aspects
of photography to each workshop. A maximum of 8 participants allows plent
y of opportunities for individual interaction throughout the day on the di
fferent photo shoots.\n\nThe workshop fee includes all instruction and any
handouts - but does not include lodging or additional meals. Please bring
along whatever you would like for food and drink through the day. The wor
kshop begins in the conference room at The Wild Center. We will carpool as
  needed to photo locations.\n\nCost: $180 non-members\; $155 members\n\nL
 imited to 8 Participants\n\n\nREGISTER HERE
