Art in the Park: Make your own Terrarium with Sally Hart ←
- This event has passed.
Join The Wild Center this summer to awaken your talents in celebration of art and nature in the Adirondacks. Monday mornings in July and August, come explore the natural world with experienced Adirondack artists. In each three-hour class you will grow your art skills and learn new techniques in areas such as watercolor, pastels, and mixed media. Every week features a different focus and offers new skills, so sign up for one or more. Museum admission is not included. Space is limited to twelve people per class, so please register soon. Basic materials are included.
Terrariums are suddenly the new hot thing. How cool would it be to learn how to make one yourself? The Wild Center is holding a two-hour workshop where you will create your own terrarium, including foraging for fun ingredients in our woods (Sensible shoes suggested). All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring items of special meaning that you’d like to incorporate into your creation, like a favorite pebble or a special glass container.
Sally Hart will be guiding this workshop. She has been creating “dish gardens” since childhood and was inspired to create terrariums when she discovered some old brandy snifters in her camp a few years ago.
Cost: $30 for members, $40 for non-members
