The Adirondacks' Next Generation

In 2009, a group of young Adirondack enthusiasts gathered in New York City to seek new ways to share their passion for the natural wonders of the Adirondacks and to support the important educational and environmental work of The Wild Center.

Their efforts led to the creation of Wings: The next generation of Adirondack stewards who, through The Wild Center, will engage with the Adirondacks in social, educational and philanthropic ways. 

This exciting group of 21-45 year olds, who live in and outside the Adirondacks, will come together for regular gatherings where we can network, develop a greater understanding for the natural world of the Adirondacks, and support the programs and initiatives of The Wild Center.

The 2010 Calendar for Wings and their guests will include an open-bar cocktail party and brief presentation at each event:

The Wings Steering Committee is actively seeking like-minded supporters, people who want to get together with others who share a love for the Adirondacks, be future stewards of the Adirondacks, and get involved in the activities of The Wild Center.
