What is Wings?

Wings is a special membership group of The Wild Center focused on engaging the next generation of Adirondack stewards. We have members far and wide, and fulfill our mission through educational outreach, philanthropic events, special receptions, outdoor activities and e-newsletters. We hope you’ll join us as we continue to build the next generation of Adirondack stewards to ensure the continued vitality and impact of The Wild Center’s environmental and educational work.

Upcoming 2013 Events

May 16 - Wings Spring Fling, NYC

Please join us as we celebrate Wings, The Wild Center and help support the visitation of NYC youth to The Wild Center. The night will feature a silent auction, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. All proceeds from the silent auction will help bring NYC youth to The Wild Center for a memorable visit.

July 20 – Wings in the ADKs, Lower Saranac Lake

Please join Wings members and friends for a summer gathering on Lower Saranac Lake. More details to come.

August 16 – Wings Summer Party, TWC

Please join us for a fun evening at The Wild Center and help us raise money to support the Adirondack Youth Climate Summit. The night will feature a silent auction, special exhibit experience, beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres. All proceeds from the event will help support the Adirondack Youth Climate Summit, scheduled for November 2013. More details to come.

September 12 – Wings in Boston, Time and Location TBD

October 19 – Annual Breakneck Ridge Hike, depart trailhead at 10 am

Please join Wings members and friends for an Autumn Mountain Escape to hike Breakneck Ridge in Hudson Highlands State Park.

December 12 – Wings Members-only skating event, CitiPond at Bryant Park, NYC
The Wings Steering Committee is actively seeking like-minded supporters, people who want to get together with others who share a love for the Adirondacks, be future stewards of the Adirondacks, and get involved in the activities of The Wild Center.
