SEE THE ADIRONDACKS

A six million acre experience

The Adirondacks are big and are open for you to explore. They have arctic zones and warm green leaf forests. They house some of the rarest forms of life in America.

The Wild Center, with its live animal, films, programs and hands-on interactive exhibits is dedicated to helping you explore the true nature of this place.

The Adirondacks are bigger than Yosemite, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and Great Smokey National Parks combined. The scale of the Adirondacks makes this a place where nature has a good chance to run wilder and where the forces of nature can be seen at work on a grander scale than most places.

The region is home to bear, moose, rare birds, forests that predate Columbus, and people. The Wild Center is for people who know the Adirondacks well, and for those who want to see what this globally unique place is all about.

Take a aerial hi def helicopter tour over the Adirondacks.
