RETURN OF THE WILD

Moose are back, river otters are spreading from the Adirondacks, peregrine falcons nest on our cliffs, and native trout spawn in protected waters. The Adirondacks may be one of the only places on Earth where there is more wild today than 100 years ago.

In movies, presentations and exhibits you can see how and why these wilder things are happening. Read a review of Return of the WIld.

Scent of a Moose the new Flammer Theater film, shows how trained dogs were used to do a moose count in the Adirondacks. It's a story of highly trained animals searching the Adirondacks to find how many moose are here without disturbing the moose. The Return of the Wild wall tracks the connection between wolves and ravens, and looks at how the big black birds have staged a comeback in part by finding a new food-supply partner.

And what about wolverines? Mountain lions? We'll try to answer your questions about where all the wild things are this summer in Return of the Wild.
