Science Saturday: Creepy Crawlers, with Simon Schreier Calendar

  • This event has passed.
When?
October 14
What Time?
11am–1pm

Beneath the surface of the forest, there is a world of creeping and crawling things. Bugs and other creatures devour leaves, and sometimes each other. Staff Naturalist Simon Schreier needs your help to find these critters. After a brief introduction to the world of invertebrates, venture outside to get your hands dirty and find insects, spiders, and so much more.

This Fall, Science Saturdays will take you on adventures of discovery. Take a deep dive into the cool, the creepy, and the just plain weird things that lie just beneath the surface of the forest. At each Science Saturday, specialists from the community and from The Wild Center’s staff will introduce an exciting topic with a brief talk in the Great Hall, followed by a hands-on activity on our campus. Come for a few minutes or stay for an hour as you get your hands dirty and discover something new and exciting.

Free for members or with paid admission.
