Learn 10: Identifying Adirondack Shrubs Calendar

  • This event has passed.
When?
August 19
What Time?
1–5pm
*Registration required

Join botanist Dan Spada at The Wild Center for this excursion to identify 10 shrub species in the field. Instruction will be provided on the use of keys and guides to be able to identify shrubs and other plants. This program includes a short lab inside to introduce the program and some terminology. Most of our time will be spent outside on our trails and in the woods. This is a great opportunity to learn plant identification in the field and to get familiar with the keys and other tools used to identify shrubs. Participants will also create their own identification keys using specimens or field sketches. This is a joint workshop with the New York Flora Association.

This event is free, but pre-registration is required.
