Join a NYS Licensed Guide and Wild Center Naturalist on an interpretive canoe paddle along the Raquette River’s oxbow this autumn. Catch a glimpse of the local wildlife, explore different marsh habitats, and watch the landscape transform as you wind around the many curves and turns of our oxbow, a unique, natural formation found in rivers around the world. Watch leaves burst with color as the season progresses and learn how Adirondack animals are preparing for the long winter ahead. This trip is geared to all paddling abilities, ages 5 and up. Paddling instruction will be provided. Children ages 5 through 15 must have at least 1 parent or guardian present for every 2 children. Museum admission is not included. Register soon as space is limited. To register visit our website or call 518-359-7800.
